Data is the new oil. We all know this. However, very few can make sense of that data. As a Business Data Analyst, you will own this data and will create leading indicators for various critical decisions.
You may conduct market/customer analysis, evaluate product/service lines, and work towards increasing the bottom-line of the company.
2. Programme Managers
This is a perfect alternative to the glamorous Strategy Consultant role — the difference being that here you own the success of the business, and you are the architect that stretches a blueprint.
You articulate the programme’s strategy, its objectives, and executes all the linked projects to reach the long term business goals while measuring the ROI.
3. Product Managers
The new age role that got to limelight in the last few years is that of the Project Manager. Every industry is now becoming a technology industry or heavily dependent on technology.
Ola and Uber are no longer cab riding companies, Amazon and Flipkart are less of e-commerce, and Swiggy and Zomato are not food delivery apps.
All of these are technology companies now who recruit product managers in abundance to take care of every aspect of their technology from the business viewpoint.

They research and analyze trends, identify opportunities, estimate demand, and develop marketing campaigns. They are also known as Growth Hackers in some startups as they lay a critical role in growing the company in multiples.
5. HR Business Partners (Agile)
No company scales without a Human Resource manager, and agility is what is critical nowadays in an organization to ensure its flexible, adaptable, and customer-centric. Agility is a cultural shift in an organization, and HR is best poised to enable it by partnering with the business directly.
Human Resource Managers are not just about planning, directing, and coordinating recruitment activities in an organization. They create policies and structures that enable a culture of sharing and collaboration alongside developing strategies for critical elements like:
- Structuring the company into small and high-performance teams that set their targets
- Creating transparent systems for better clarity and impact, i.e., what are the goals, who are working on what project, who are our helping hands – coaches.
