Students of Baba Farid College of Management and Technology (BFCMT) participated in an entrepreneurial hunt, where they were given live project assignments. As many as 60 MBA students took part in the event that was primarily aimed at providing them an opportunity to enhance their practical learning on aspects of product demonstration, marketing and presentation skills.
The students were divided into 12 groups, each group consisting of five members. By investing money and applying marketing strategies, students were not only successful in selling their products and services but earned profit as well.
Students applied their negotiation skills while convincing their mates to buy their products. All transactions were conducted via cash coupons which were converted by faculty members, after which the team that managed to collect maximum amount was declared winner of the entrepreneurial hunt.
The best entrepreneur award was bagged by a team headed by Gurpinder with highest sale of Rs 22,805 and marketing star award given to Ravinder’s group.
A feedback board was also available at the event, on which higher authorities and staff members gave their rating to teams according to their marketing and presentation skills. Moreover, one of the stall was also sponsored through tourism club of the Baba Farid Group of Institutions, where MBA students (marketing) and tourism students promoted club activities and tour packages.
